The Young Associates aim to provide tremendous value to its members through extraordinary programming, excellent networking opportunities and extensive community involvement. Our vision is to be the premier network of young leaders dedicated to supporting the Asper School of Business.
The YA is affiliated with the prestigious Associates Programme. The Associates was formed in the early 1980s when Roland Granpre, former dean of the Univeristy of Manitoba Faculty of Management, recognized the potential of establishing firm linkages between the business community and the business school. From the success of the Associates, The Young Associates was formed in 1993 to provide the same network for ideas, experience and education as the Associates, but among the younger business community.
The organization's membership is comprised of young professionals including entrepreneurs, senior executives, accountants, lawyers, investment professionals and others representing virtually every sector of the Manitoba economy.
The Young Associates meet at different times and at different venues: before work breakfasts, lunch-time speakers, after work tours and evening activities - just to name a few! This variety allows members the best opportunity to attend events even in their busy schedules.
